This Heavy Duty marine battery switch is a manual, key-operated ON/OFF switch for isolating the battery supply in marine installations. The standard version is rated for 280 A continuous current and can handle a short-term load of 2,500 A for 5 seconds.
The switch features a black polycarbonate housing and a waterproof PVC cover over the control. The removable, splash-proof key is made of nickel-plated brass. The design provides a robust operating solution for demanding electrical installations on board.
The product is intended for flange mounting and has a flange with a diameter of 66 mm as well as 10 mm terminals. The switch must be installed on the positive cable of the battery system so that the battery circuit can be disconnected manually during service, storage, or when electrical isolation is required.
The battery switch is CE-marked and EU type-approved as an ignition-protected component according to EN ISO 8846:2017. The certification includes installation in engine and fuel tank compartments on recreational craft. The EU type-examination certificate is issued by RINA Services S.p.A. under certificate number DIP008320Y2/002.
A spare key with item no. 14.385.33 is specifically intended for this switch. The separate recessed housing with item no. 14.561.01 is also documented as compatible. The switch is also included as a component in electrical panels with item no. 14.708.00 and 14.809.00.
