This Heavy Duty marine battery switch with removable key is designed for the safe connection and disconnection of the battery circuit in marine electrical installations. It is rated for 290 A continuous and can handle up to 2500 A for 5 seconds.
The switch features a robust polycarbonate housing and copper electrical contacts. The removable, splash-proof key has a nickel-plated brass lug. A protective cap and back cover are included so the terminal area can be covered after installation.
The product can be surface or flush mounted in a bulkhead or panel with a thickness of 4–19 mm. The flange has a diameter of 72 mm, the front projection is specified as 45/60 mm, and the connection studs measure 10 mm. The switch is installed on the positive battery cable in accordance with the installation reference ISO 10133.
The battery switch is classified as an ignition-protected component according to EN ISO 8846:2017. The documented scope of application includes engine and fuel tank compartments in recreational craft, where flammable vapours may be present.
The product is covered by RINA EU type-examination certificate DIP009925Y2/003 under Directive 2013/53/EU and must be CE marked in accordance with the certificate's requirements.
