This inspection hatch with a non-slip, walkable surface is a rectangular, hinged access hatch made of white Luran plastic. It measures 280 x 380 mm externally and has an internal, clear opening of 180 x 280 mm.
The hatch can be used for lockers, storage compartments, fish tanks, fish boxes, storage rooms, cockpit storage, and as an access hatch in bulkheads. The robust, non-slip surface is designed for walkways, while the hatch cover's 160° opening angle provides easy access to the space behind the hatch.
The closure is splash-proof and equipped with a neoprene seal around the hatch cover. The tightness rating is Grade 2. The hatch should therefore not be considered completely watertight or suitable for submersion.
The hatch is designed for flush, built-in mounting and can be installed horizontally or vertically. The flange has pre-drilled mounting holes for screw attachment. Installation is carried out using screws and a suitable silicone sealant; these parts are not included.
The product is CE-approved based on UNI EN ISO 12216:2004 and can be installed on recreational craft in design categories A, B, C, and D, as well as installation areas IIa, III, and IV. The design also relates to the requirements of Directive 2013/53/EU.
Accessories and spare parts
Lock set, item no. 20.093.00, can be retrofitted and is not included as standard. A white spare handle, 20.338.00, can be used for the hatch; installation requires a hole with a diameter of 4 mm. The hatch is also used as a hatch type in the complete storage box 20.310.00.
