This HYDROBOAT hydrofoil stabilizer for outboard motors is designed for engines up to 50 hp. It is mounted on the engine's anti-cavitation plate and affects the water flow around the engine's lower unit.
The stabilizer is developed to reduce or prevent cavitation and facilitate the boat's transition to planing. The design simultaneously improves stability during navigation and makes steering more responsive.
The hydrodynamic effect is also intended to reduce fuel consumption. The result depends on the boat's hull, load, engine setup, and trim.
The product is manufactured from high-strength technopolymer and measures 194 × 174 mm. The robust polymer material is suitable for the mechanical stress involved in mounting it on the outboard motor's anti-cavitation plate.
Installation is performed by screwing through the anti-cavitation plate and therefore requires drilling. The parts are positioned with the ribs facing upward and leveled with each other before being secured with screws and nuts. Before installation, verify that the engine's anti-cavitation plate has sufficient space for the stabilizer.
