Igloo BMX passive cooler in the BMX 25 model is a portable, hard-sided cooler with a capacity of 23 L. The passive cooling requires no power connection and works with ice or cooling elements, making the box suitable for transport, outdoor life, and use in demanding maritime and outdoor environments.
Extra-thick foam walls and an insulated lid help keep the contents cold. The cooler can retain ice for up to 4 days at an external temperature of 32 °C under controlled test conditions. Cool Riser Technology® elevates the base from the surface, thereby reducing heat transfer from hot surfaces.
The heavy-duty, blow-molded construction features a reinforced base, corner protection, and non-slip areas. Two rubberized, T-handle latches keep the lid closed, while the reinforced hinges and stainless steel screws support durability during repeated opening and transport.
The central, swing-up carrying handle has multiple grip positions, stainless steel reinforcement, and a rubber grip. The lid features four integrated tie-down points as well as a molded-in fish ruler. A drain plug makes it easier to empty meltwater and clean the box after use.
The BMX 25 has external dimensions of 51 × 33.5 × 41.5 cm and weighs 4.7 kg. The capacity corresponds to 25 qt or up to 37 cans. The product is not specified with UV protection and should therefore not be stored in direct sunlight unnecessarily.
Documented compatible replacement hinges include the white standard hinge, item no. 50.559.01, and the black long-lasting hinge, item no. 50.559.02.
