Igloo rigid cooler from the Marine Ultra series, model Marine Ultra 54, is a passive cooler with a capacity of 51 l. It is developed for onboard use and is suitable for the cool storage of food, beverages, catch, and live bait without the need for a power connection.
The cabinet and lid are insulated with high-efficiency THERMECOOL™ foam. Together with the insulated construction, this provides up to 5 days of ice retention at an outside temperature of 32 °C. The interior plastic surface resists stains and odors, while UV inhibitors protect the exterior from sun exposure.
The cooler measures 65 × 37 × 41 cm and weighs 4.88 kg. The robust frame can be used as a seat, and the fold-up comfort-grip handles have a non-slip design, which facilitates transport. The construction includes marine-grade hinges, rust-resistant stainless steel screws, and a hybrid latch with a stainless steel hinge component.
The lid features four integrated, self-draining cup holders as well as a molded-in fish ruler for quick measurement of the catch. A recessed triple-snap drain plug allows for the emptying of meltwater without turning the cooler over. The capacity corresponds to up to 76 12 oz cans. The model does not have wheels.
The optional seat cushion, item no. 50.566.71, can be mounted on the cooler and is not included. Documented spare parts include latch 50.559.11, white ULTRA handles 50.559.16, white standard hinges 50.559.01, and black heavy-duty hinges 50.559.02.
After use, the cooler should be emptied and cleaned inside and out with water or a mild detergent. Rinse off the detergent thoroughly and let the cooler dry completely before storage. More stubborn stains can be treated with a diluted mixture of baking soda and water.
