This Indel B Travel Box portable compressor cooler TB51.2 has a capacity of 50 L and is designed for cooling and freezing food in boats, cars, trucks, motorhomes, and other mobile installations using 12 or 24 V DC. The construction is developed for transport and heavy movement, while the temperature regulation is electronically controlled.
The cooler uses a Secop BD35F compressor and features a hermetically sealed cooling system with R134a refrigerant. The refrigerant charge is 0.045 kg with a CO₂ equivalent of 0.064 tonnes. Energy consumption is specified at 240–770 W/24 h at 12 V, +5 °C in the refrigerated compartment, and an ambient temperature of +25 °C.
The electronic control panel features an LED display that shows the interior temperature. The temperature is set using plus and minus buttons, and the display can be switched between °C and °F. You can choose between MAX operation with maximum compressor speed and ECO operation with reduced compressor speed and lower energy consumption. The last used operating mode is remembered after switching off.
Automatic battery protection stops the compressor at low supply voltage and restarts it when the voltage has normalized. The protection has three selectable levels for both 12 and 24 V systems. The cooler also has a built-in 15 A fuse.
The product measures 530 mm in height, 350 mm in width, and 585 mm in depth. It must be placed on a dry, level, and protected surface with at least 15 cm of free ventilation around the sides, back, and top. When mounted in a vehicle, fastening via metal brackets on the sides is recommended. Brackets are not documented as included. The cooler must not be exposed directly to rain, water splashes, or other direct exposure to water.
Food must be stored in original packaging or suitable containers, as the interior surface is not intended for direct contact with unpackaged food. Liquids and loose ice must not be poured directly into the box. Defrosting is recommended when the frost layer exceeds 4 mm and must be performed with the unit switched off, without the use of sharp tools. This model is discontinued; item no. 50.834.52 is documented as a newer alternative.
