This Integral navigation ruler and protractor is a 350 mm manual chart-plotting instrument for navigation and route planning on paper nautical charts.
The instrument combines a Bretone protractor with the rapid Jean Cras system. The integrated solution can be used to measure distances, plot courses, and work with bearings directly on the nautical chart.
The navigation ruler can also be used for magnetic variation and deviation correction, transferring a read or sighted position, as well as plotting a true bearing from a coastal bearing. Courses can be set according to the compass graduation, allowing the instrument to support both planning and monitoring of sailing routes.
A protective case and a user manual are included. The case protects the instrument during storage and transport.
