Isotherm Cruise Elegance compressor refrigerator in silver is a front-opening 65 L refrigerator with an integrated freezer compartment for fixed installation in boats, motorhomes, and other mobile installations. Model CR65 EL is powered directly from a 12/24 V DC system and has a silver-colored front.
The air-cooled cooling system uses a Secop BD35F compressor and R134a refrigerant. The instantaneous power is 72 W, while the current consumption is 6.0 A at 12 V and 3.0 A at 24 V. The average energy consumption is 275 Wh/24 h, measured at 12 V, +5 °C in the refrigerator compartment, and +25 °C ambient temperature. The temperature is regulated steplessly with a mechanical thermostat, and the freezer compartment's nominal temperature is −6 °C.
The interior includes one height-adjustable shelf, two door storage sections, internal LED lighting, and an integrated freezer compartment with a magnetic steel door. The door features a marine-grade safety latch, and the hinge can be reversed so the door opens to the right or left. The Vent-Lock function can keep the door ajar during periods of inactivity, allowing the refrigerator to ventilate and reducing the risk of moisture and mold.
The refrigerator measures 448 mm in width, 530 mm in total depth including the door, and 527 mm in height. It is mounted using the EasyFix system's four internal attachment points, so the screws are not visible from the outside. The specified cutout dimensions are 450 mm in width and 532 mm in height. For flush mounting, there must be at least 10 mm of clearance at the door.
The installation must have sufficient air supply from below and discharge for warm air from above or the sides. A 20 mm ventilation gap is recommended on sides without a compressor, and 50 mm on the compressor side. The refrigerator must be secured so it cannot shift during the vessel's or vehicle's movements.
The electrical connection must be routed directly to the battery or a suitable main switch with proper overcurrent protection. A 15 A fuse is used at 12 V and a 7.5 A fuse at 24 V. The minimum cable cross-section depends on the cable length: 2.5 mm² up to 2.5 m at 12 V or 5 m at 24 V, 4 mm² up to 4/8 m, 6 mm² up to 6/12 m, and 10 mm² up to 10/20 m. A separate service battery is recommended over the engine's starter battery.
The refrigerator is prepared for the retrofitting of Isotherm Smart Energy Control and Intelligent Temperature Control. Smart Energy Control is available as item no. 50.932.20, while the three-sided silver-colored mounting frame for this 65 L variant has item no. 50.934.11. The DC version cannot be connected directly to 115/230 V AC without a compatible AC/DC power supply module.
The closed cooling circuit does not normally require refilling. For seasonal maintenance, the condenser and fan should be brushed or vacuumed, while the food-safe plastic interior should be cleaned with warm water and mild soap. After long periods of inactivity, the refrigerator should be defrosted, cleaned, and dried, and the door set in the ventilation position.
