The Jabsco electric marine toilet in the 37010 series is a compact 12 V model for permanent installation in boats. The toilet features a white, glazed porcelain bowl and a white wooden toilet seat. The product dimensions are 350 × 430 × 350 mm measured as length × depth × height, and the product weight is 15.4 kg.
The integrated flush pump uses a flexible impeller and is combined with a high-capacity macerator pump that shreds toilet waste and empties the bowl. The discharge system includes an integrated joker/non-return valve. The fully enclosed permanent magnet motor features a stainless steel shaft, and the construction is made of corrosion-resistant materials for marine use.
The flush water inlet is intended for a 19 mm hose, while the standard outlet fits a 25 mm discharge hose. Adapter 98023-0080 allows for the outlet to be adapted to a 38 mm discharge hose. The flush pump is self-priming up to 1.2 m, and the discharge pump has a maximum vertical lift of 1.2 m. The discharge can be routed to a holding tank or another suitable marine discharge system.
The toilet can be installed up to 90 cm below the waterline and must be secured to a level surface so that the base does not deform. If the toilet can come below the waterline due to heeling or trim, the inlet must have a correctly positioned vented loop that remains at least 200 mm above the waterline. The toilet must not be connected directly to the boat's pressurized drinking water system. For freshwater flushing, a separate tank must be used that supplies only the toilet.
The 12 V variant has a power consumption of 16 A during operation and must be fused with 25 A. The power supply must be run in a separate circuit, and the fuse or a corresponding circuit breaker must be placed in the positive wire no more than 7″ from the power source. The orange motor wire connects to positive, and the black motor wire to negative. For a total cable run (round trip) of 0-25 ft, AWG 12 is used, while 25-30 ft requires AWG 10. The included push button has a 16 mm mounting hole and can be mounted in panels up to 25 mm thick.
The push button activates flushing and maceration simultaneously and is held down until the bowl is flushed and empty. The toilet is designed for regular toilet waste and toilet paper; rags, hygiene products, and hard objects must not be flushed. For winterization, the inlet valve is closed, after which the toilet is run briefly until the water has been pumped out. The related service kit with item no. 50.225.00 includes an impeller, gaskets, and O-rings. The selection of other spare parts should be checked against the toilet's year of manufacture.
