Heavy duty stern-mounted splash guard (4/8/12-pin transducers)

This mount allows you to easily stern-mount a compatible 4-, 8-, or 12-pin transducer to your boat, providing excellent sonar results at all speeds. Since the transducer is in the water at all times, this mount does not protect the transducer from underwater obstacles and will create drag on the boat. The included transducer splash shield reduces excessive water splash from your compatible transducer when the boat is operating at high speeds.

You can also mount the transducer on a step at the back of your boat with this bracket, where the transducer can be angled to run parallel to the water surface. The result is that there is no drag. However, when the boat is planing, the transducer will be out of the water with this type of mount and will therefore not scan the bottom.
