La Crosse professional weather station WS6262 is a wireless meteorological station with a color LCD display, WiFi connectivity, and a combined 5-in-1 outdoor sensor. The station collects local measurements of temperature, humidity, wind, rainfall, light, and UV index, presenting them on the base unit as well as in the Tuya app.
The base unit displays indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, with minimum and maximum value logging. It also displays the feels-like temperature, comfort level, barometric pressure, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction, heat index, and dew point. Wind speed can be measured from 0 to 180 km/h and is displayed on a 12-level Beaufort scale, while the light measurement covers 0-128 klux and the UV index 0-15.
The WiFi connection uses a 2.4 GHz network for setup and provides access to internet-based weather forecasts and history in the Tuya app for iOS and Android. The outdoor sensor transmits measurement data to the base unit at 433 MHz with a range of up to 60 m in open field. The adjustable color display also features a night mode, allowing the backlight to switch to a selected brightness level at night.
The station features a 12- or 24-hour clock, date, calendar, two programmable alarms, and a snooze function. The day of the week can be displayed in 15 languages, including Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English, German, and French. The base unit's USB port can be used as a charging output.
The base unit measures 205 × 32 × 130 mm and can be placed on a table or mounted on a wall. The combined WSTX62-TY outdoor sensor measures 350 × 47 × 135 mm and comes with a bracket/stand. The sensor should be mounted level on a stable support, approximately 1.5 m above the ground and as unobstructed as possible. The N marker should be oriented towards the north, and the solar panel should be oriented towards the south for correct wind direction reference.
Included are the base unit, combined outdoor sensor, 5 V power supply, and sensor bracket. The base unit also uses 2 × AA/LR6 batteries as backup, while the outdoor sensor uses 3 × AA/LR6; batteries are not included. The rain funnel and drain should be regularly kept clear of leaves, insects, and other debris. The WSTX09-TY can be connected as an additional wireless temperature and humidity sensor.
