Lenco Pro Control automatic trim tab kit in the Auto version with Edge Mount is a complete 12 V DC system for automatic trimming and stabilization of boats from 5.2–9.1 m. The kit features two 305 × 305 mm trim tabs and is designed for transom mounting, where the Edge Mount construction positions the actuators at the trailing edge of the trim tabs.
The auto system's IMU detects speed, acceleration, roll, and pitch, among other data. Based on this data, the trim tabs are continuously adjusted to keep the hull in the set running attitude. The operator can still adjust the trim manually from the ergonomic Pro Control panel, which features rotary/push operation and an LED display of the trim tab position. The system also supports automatic planing assistance and quick transition from acceleration to automatic leveling.
The trim tabs are manufactured from approximately 2.7 mm AISI 304 stainless steel with a standard finish. They feature turned-up edges and a tapered Edge Mount geometry. The required transom height is approximately 279 mm, though the precise mounting requirement is affected by the transom angle. Each trim tab is powered by an SD Pro actuator with a 57.2 mm stroke, IP68 rating, and position accuracy of 1% of the stroke length.
The included actuators have an operational load capacity of approximately 340 kgf and a retraction capacity of approximately 181 kgf per actuator. The actuators' operating voltage range is 9–16 V DC. Installation requires a separate power supply and 20 A circuit protection for each actuator, while the private Lenco 2K network requires a 12 V power supply with 3 A circuit protection.
The kit includes the Pro Control Auto control panel, IMU, two stainless trim tabs, two SD Pro actuators, Micro-C network components, actuator adapters, power cables, wake signal adapters for systems without Mercury integration, mounting brackets, and a Lenco 2K Backbone Kit. The control panel requires a cutout of approximately Ø52–53 mm and approximately 75 mm of clearance depth behind the dashboard.
The system can be connected to the vessel's NMEA 2000 network to display trim tab position on compatible multifunction displays. For compatible Mercury installations, the system can be connected to a Mercury JBox via SmartCraft; the necessary SmartCraft extension cables are not included. The private Lenco 2K network must not be connected directly to NMEA 2000, J1939, or NMEA 0183. After installation, the system must be commissioned and the Auto version calibrated during a sea trial. The complete system is supplied with a 5-year warranty.
