Lenco Pro Control Auto electric trim tab kit is a complete automatic 12 V system featuring two 229 × 305 mm trim tabs, an electronic control panel, an IMU, and SD Pro actuators. The Standard Mount version is designed for boats of approx. 4.9–7.6 m and requires at least 356 mm of transom height.
The auto function detects speed, acceleration, pitch, and roll, adjusting the trim tabs to maintain the boat's selected attitude. The system supports automatic planing assistance, automatic trim tab retraction, and adjustment of the desired boat attitude and regulation sensitivity. The operator can continue to make manual pitch and roll corrections from the ergonomic panel. In a specified test setup, 74% improved boat leveling and 24% lower slamming loads were measured compared to sailing without stabilization; the actual effect depends on the boat, load, and sea conditions.
The two standard tabs are manufactured from 2.7 mm 304 stainless steel and feature a 16 mm turned-up trailing edge. The included SD Pro actuators have a 292 mm pin-to-pin length, 57.2 mm stroke length, and 1% position accuracy of the stroke length. Each actuator is IP68-rated and has a maximum push/pull capacity of approx. 340/181 kgf.
The system architecture supports Lenco 2K, NMEA 2000, and Mercury SmartCraft. The trim tab position can be displayed on a compatible multifunction display, and integration with Mercury JBox provides access to additional engine data. Wake Signal Adapters for installations without Mercury connection are included. Pro Control components are not compatible with the Lenco 100 Series, and the control panel is intended for SD Pro actuators.
The auto panel measures 111 × 70 × 50 mm and is mounted in a 53 mm round cutout with the included M52 × 2 locknut. A clearance depth of 110 mm is required behind the panel, including cable space. The panel supports day and night modes as well as LED indication of trim tab position, and, once installed correctly, is rated IPX6 on the front and IPX5 on the back.
The kit includes the Pro Control Auto control panel 15174-107, IMU 15180-001, two standard tabs, two SD Pro actuators 15189-001, network and power cables, Micro C T-connectors, adapter cables, Wake Signal Adapters, upper and lower mounting brackets, and the Lenco 2K Backbone Kit. Trim tabs should be protected with sacrificial anodes chosen according to water type. They can be anti-fouled with paint suitable for metal, but the contact area between the anode and the tab must not be painted. The system comes with a five-year limited warranty.
