Lenco Standard Mount electric trim tab kit is a complete 12 V actuator kit with two 229 x 610 mm trim tabs for standard mounting on the boat's transom. The size nominally corresponds to 9 x 24" and is recommended for boats with a hull length of 8–12 m.
The system regulates the trim tabs electrically without a hydraulic pump or hydraulic oil. The two included 101 Standard actuators use ball screw drives and provide fast, immediate response. Each actuator has a 57 mm stroke, up to 500 lb of force, and a construction of UV-resistant, glass-fiber reinforced nylon with a stainless steel cylinder. The actuators are fully submersible and maintenance-free.
The two laser-cut trim tabs are manufactured from 304 stainless steel with a plate thickness of 12 gauge, corresponding to 2.7 mm. The construction includes a approx. 1.6 cm outward-turned trailing edge, a hinge pin with a diameter of approx. 3.2 mm, as well as corrosion-resistant and impact-resistant upper and lower mounting brackets.
The kit contains two actuators with item no. 51.260.01 and manufacturer no. 15054-001, as well as two 20' extension cables with item no. 51.259.03. The cables are approx. 6 m long and have waterproof plug-and-play Deutsch connectors for the connection between the actuators and the control unit. The cable references 30133-103D and 30133-103 refer to this cable length.
Installation requires a minimum transom height of approx. 35.6 cm. The approximate installation height for the actuator is 34.3 cm, but is affected by the angle of the transom. Furthermore, there must be clearance for the two 610 mm wide trim tabs in relation to drives, hull strakes, and other installations.
Control panel and switch are not included and must be purchased separately. The actuators must be used with compatible Lenco 100 Series controls and switches and are not compatible with Pro Control keypads. The standard 12 V control panel with item no. 51.256.01 is a proven control option.
The trim tabs should be protected with anodes selected according to the water type. They can be painted with suitable metal-bonding antifouling paint, but one must not paint between the anode and the trim tab, and antifouling paint does not replace anode protection.
