This Levilene floating line for lifebuoys is an orange, floating rescue line with a diameter of 8 mm and a length of 30 m. The line is designed for ring-shaped lifebuoys and makes it possible to maintain a connection to the lifebuoy once it has been thrown.
The line has a breaking strength of 400 kg. This value indicates the breaking strength and must not be confused with safe working load or approved lifting capacity. The floating construction keeps the line on the water surface, where it can be used in conjunction with the lifebuoy.
The product is type-approved, but no specific EN, ISO, SOLAS, or MED standard is specified. The line is supplied without a stainless steel snap hook. The related 70 mm snap hook in AISI 316 with item no. 09.247.70 is a separate accessory and not an mandatory part of the line.
The same line is included as a line component in safety kits 22.411.32, 22.411.40, 22.411.34, 22.411.41, 22.411.43, 22.412.32, 22.412.40, 22.412.34, 22.412.41 and 22.412.43, as well as in survival kit 22.705.00 and Man Over Board rescue product 22.423.00.
