This Lewmar seal kit for Flush Hatch 2G is a genuine spare part for the size 20 standard hatch. It is intended for Flush Hatch 2G hatches manufactured from 2006 onwards and carries Lewmar OEM no. 361597999.
The seal is made of EPDM and functions as a form-fitted compression seal. The material is intended for marine use with exposure to UV radiation, salt water, and the constant compression that occurs when the hatch is closed.
On the Flush Hatch 2G, the seal is mounted on the acrylic glass. A new seal can restore the correct compression and the hatch's watertight function, as well as counteract water ingress, drafts, and rattles caused by a worn or compressed seal. It also supports proper closing and smooth operation of the hatch.
Size 20 can be identified by an external hatch size of 417 × 272 mm and a cutout dimension of 347 × 202 mm. These dimensions apply to the compatible hatch and are not the product dimensions of the seal kit. Compatible hatch references include 39920012 with grey acrylic and 39920812 with dark grey acrylic.
Flush Hatch 2G must not be confused with Flush Hatch 3G. On the 2G, the seal is located on the acrylic glass, while the 3G seal is located on the lower frame. The seal for Flush Hatch 3G size 20 has item no. 19.915.20 and is a separate spare part.
