This flush-mount radio for instrument panels, model M3-TFT, is a round marine radio for permanent installation in a 12 V DC system with negative ground. The radio supports FM, DAB, Bluetooth, USB, MP3, and WMA and is also suitable for outdoor installation.
The integrated 3" TFT color display supports video line in/out as well as viewing of music, photo, and video files from USB. The USB player features, among other things, play and pause, file search, fast forward and rewind, repeat, random playback, and intro playback.
The radio section covers FM 87.5–108 MHz and DAB 174.928–239.200 MHz. It has 18 station presets, automatic and manual station search, as well as RDS with AF, TA, and PTY. The backup memory retains stored settings, and the controls also include mute, clock, balance, fader, equalizer, loudness, as well as bass and treble adjustment.
The integrated amplifier delivers a maximum of 4 × 40 W to four speaker channels. The recommended speaker impedance is 4–8 ohms, and the maximum current consumption is 10 A. Connections include Bluetooth audio, a wired USB port, stereo RCA/AUX input, separate connections for radio and DAB antenna, and four speaker outputs.
The radio front measures Ø113 mm and is mounted in a round panel cutout of Ø88 mm. The installation depth is 62 mm, and it is secured with a metal bracket on the back of the panel. The front is splash-proof with an IPX5 rating and is UV-treated. Installation should be performed professionally, and all wires must be connected and insulated correctly before connecting power.
Included are a DAB antenna, infrared remote control, metal mounting bracket, and connection cable with a total length of 2 m. The remote control provides access to, among other things, source selection, station search, volume, mute, equalizer, RDS, and USB playback. A USB-AUX front adapter, item no. 29.530.08, can be purchased separately if you wish to route the USB and AUX connections to an accessible front panel.
