Marco EMH-M multifunctional electronic horn with microphone is a complete marine sound signal system for 24 V DC systems. The kit consists of a water-resistant speaker unit, electronic control unit, control microphone, and a bracket in AISI 316 stainless steel. It is designed and type-approved for boats up to 12 meters.
The system combines a manual horn, automatic fog signal, microphone, and a balanced VHF/AUX input. The tone frequency is 800 Hz, and the automatic fog signal emits a tone for 5 seconds at a preset interval of 90 seconds. A manual continuous signal is limited to 5 seconds, and the horn button has priority over all other functions.
The electronic control unit features a class A/B voice amplifier as well as separate gain controls for the microphone and VHF/AUX. The AUX input accepts signal levels from 200 mV to 3 V RMS and can be used for, for example, VHF, radio, CD, or MP3 audio. Connections include an 8-pole terminal block for power supply, speaker, and switch functions, a 4-pole terminal block for AUX/VHF, a microphone jack, and an RJ45 port for an optional control panel.
The 24 V variant has a maximum power consumption of 1 A and an electrical drive power to the speaker of 20 W. The speaker measures 154 × 132 × 121 mm and is supplied with a 0.5 m tinned cable of 2 × 0.75 mm². The complete kit weighs 1.55 kg and has an IP66 protection rating.
During installation, the speaker must be mounted pointing slightly downwards so that water does not collect in the funnel. The factory-fitted speaker cable must be connected in a suitable junction box and must not be replaced. The electronics box must not be drilled; use only the existing mounting holes. Power and speaker wires must be connected to the correct terminals, and the speaker leads must not be short-circuited.
The product meets EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and standard EN 60945:2002-10. The manufacturer part number is 13600113. For the 24 V variant, control unit kit R3600006, acoustic spare part unit R3600001, and microphone kit R5000018 are available. An additional IP67 control panel with item no. 21.432.00 can be used for operation from an extra station.
