MARCO PW3 brass compressed air horn for vessels 20–75 m is a pneumatic ship sound signal in a black-painted finish. The PW3-BN is supplied with a 24 V electric solenoid valve and is intended for maritime signaling on vessels in the size range of 20–75 m.
The horn produces a sound level of 132 dB, measured as a 1/3-octave measurement at a distance of 1 meter, and has a frequency of 315 Hz. It operates with a compressed air pressure of 6–12 bar and can be connected to the vessel's existing compressed air system or used in conjunction with a separate compressor.
The horn is made of brass with a black-painted finish. The horn bell has a diameter of 300 mm, the length is 449 mm, and the published overall dimensions are Ø300 × 449 × 300 mm. The connection is intended for an 8/6 mm hose, corresponding to an 8 mm outside and 6 mm inside diameter.
The electric solenoid valve connects to 24 V DC and has a maximum power consumption of 2.5 A. Horn, solenoid valve, and mounting accessories are included, and installation is performed as surface mounting with a pneumatic connection to the compressed air supply.
The PW3-BN complies with COLREG 1972 and IMO Class III and is type-approved by RINA, Lloyd’s Register MCA, Bureau Veritas, BSH, and NMMA. The vessel range is specified as 20 m ≤ L < 75 m.
Spare parts and accessories
The voltage-correct replacement valve is MARCO R5200005. MARCO R5200024 is the mounting accessory for the solenoid valve, while R5200006 is a protection cap of Ø300 mm. A dedicated 24 V MARCO M3 compressor, part no. 21.441.09, can be used as a compressed air supply.
