This additional control panel with microphone for electronic ship horns is the MARCO SB-UV for operating compatible electronic horn and whistle systems from an additional steering position. The panel can be mounted in the wheelhouse, cabin, or on the flybridge, for example, and is supplied with a microphone and waterproof connector.
The microprocessor-based electronic board integrates the horn signal, automatic fog signal, and AUX input, and transmits the signals to the horn's electronic control unit via a single RJ45 cable. The connection must be made pin-to-pin without crossover. Separate RJ45 IN and OUT connections allow multiple panels to be daisy-chained for operation from different positions.
The panel is intended for 12/24 V installations and has an IP67 protection rating. The microphone gain can be adjusted via an internal trimmer. The front panel is labeled with the functions Horn, Fog Signal, Aux Input, Aux Signal, Mic, and Pwr, so that the system's operating and status functions are consolidated on the same panel.
The square front panel measures 80 × 80 mm and has a depth of 45 mm. The panel can be surface-mounted using the waterproof back box or flush-mounted in an instrument panel. Flush mounting requires a central installation hole of Ø70 mm. The four mounting holes are Ø3.5 mm with a center distance of 66.5 × 66.5 mm.
