This Marina R II single-pole rocker switch is a waterproof, panel-mounted switch module with an (ON)-OFF contact function. The parentheses around ON indicate a momentary function with spring return: The contact is closed only while actuated and returns automatically to OFF when released. This variant is specifically designed for horns, signal horns, and operating marine toilets or WCs.
The switch module is designed for 12/24 V DC and has a maximum contact load of 20 A at 12 V and 12 A at 24 V. The single-pole version has three terminals. The IP56 rating protects the switch against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making it suitable for installation in marine control panels.
The switch is mounted in a rectangular panel hole of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. This is the dimension of the required panel cutout and not the overall external dimensions of the switch. The actual operating rocker with symbol is not included and must be ordered separately.
The module features two red LEDs. One is used for constant illumination of the symbol on the separate rocker, while the other serves as an activation indicator in the slot below the symbol and lights up when the connected function is activated.
For horn function, the module can be combined with Marina R II rocker 14.299.03 in semi-rigid, non-slip design or 14.299.42 in rigid polycarbonate design. Current Marina R II rockers are not compatible with previous Marina R switches sold up to and including February 2021. The switch module can also be mounted in compatible plastic frames, including center insert 14.197.21, frame for one switch 14.197.22, blanking plug 14.197.23, and end insert 14.197.31.
