This Marina R II waterproof rocker switch module without rocker is a single-pole, panel-mount switch with the switching function ON1-OFF-ON1+2. The module is intended for the sequential control of navigation lights on vessels up to 12 m and is used in 12/24 V DC systems.
In the ON1 position, circuit 1 is closed. OFF disconnects both controlled circuits, while ON1+2 closes circuits 1 and 2 simultaneously. With the recommended navigation light wiring, ON1 activates a white 360° light, while ON1+2 activates both the white 360° light and red/green 112.5° lights.
The switch can handle loads of up to 20 A at 12 V and 12 A at 24 V. The IP56 protection rating protects the switch module against dust and powerful water jets, making it suitable for installation in maritime control panels.
Installation requires a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The module has three terminals and is supplied without a rocker and without an LED. A compatible Marina R II rocker must therefore be ordered separately; rockers 14.299.40 and 14.299.01 feature navigation light symbols. Navigation lanterns and wiring harnesses are not included.
The switch module can be mounted in panel frames from the 14.197 series, including the single-switch frame 14.197.22. When replacing in older panels, please note that current rockers in the 14.299 series are not compatible with Marina R switches sold up to and including February 2021.
