This Marina R IP56 rocker switch without actuator is a panel-mount switch with (ON)-OFF-(ON) functionality for controlling hydraulic gangways, windlasses, and trim tabs. Both ON positions are momentary, meaning the switch automatically returns to the center OFF position when released.
The switch is rated for 12/24 V DC and has four terminals. The maximum current capacity is 20 A at 12 V and 15 A at 24 V. The IP56 waterproof design is suitable for electrical panel installations in marine environments.
The dual red LED lighting has two functions. One LED illuminates the symbol on the separately selected rocker cover and is constantly lit. The other illuminates the marking below the symbol and turns on when the connected function is activated.
The switch is mounted in a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. It is supplied without an actuator or rocker cover, which must therefore be selected and ordered separately according to the function the switch is to operate.
Compatible accessories
The switch uses Marina R rocker covers for the older 14.198.xx series, which was sold up to and including February 2021. Documented function actuators include 14.199.04 and 14.199.43 for trim tabs, 14.199.14 and 14.199.53 for windlasses, as well as 14.199.21, 14.199.60, 14.199.22, and 14.199.61 for gangways. The actuator is selected according to the installation's function.
Removal tool 14.196.00 can be used for the rocker cover. The switch is also compatible with panel frame parts 14.197.21, 14.197.22, 14.197.23, and 14.197.31. The documented successor to this switch is item no. 14.298.05, but parts for the newer generation should not automatically be assumed to fit this older version.
