Color-matched spray paint for marine engines, drives and engine components is intended for repair, retouching, restoration and cosmetic freshening of painted surfaces. The range includes variants for, among others, Honda, Suzuki, Volvo Penta, Yamaha, Tohatsu, Evinrude, Johnson, Caterpillar, Cummins, Yanmar, Mariner, Selva, OMC, VM, Nanni, AIFO/FPT, IVECO, VETUS and Onan, as well as selected drives, gear housings, outboard legs and IPS versions.
Always choose the variant that matches the engine brand, engine part, model year, existing finish and any OEM or color reference. The range includes both acrylic and nitro-based aerosols as well as clear coat variants. Documented references include, among others, Volvo Penta OEM numbers 827501, 3851219, 1141575, 889968, 3851220 and 1141566 as well as catalog cross-references for several engine manufacturers. Always check compatibility, model and serial number before purchase and application.
The paint is supplied in aerosol cans with a nominal content of 400 ml. Some variants are supplied as a carton of 6 cans, while others are sold individually. Depending on the variant, the paint can be used on metal, aluminum, polyester and ABS. For bare aluminum or metal, a suitable zinc primer is recommended, for example, item no. 52.560.50.
For variants with documented application data, the coverage is approximately 0.9–1.1 m² per can, the gloss level is 70–85 gloss and the temperature resistance is up to approximately 90–100 °C. At 20 °C, the paint is typically dust-dry after 5–10 minutes, touch-dry after 30–60 minutes and fully cured after approximately 24 hours. Shake the can thoroughly for at least 2 minutes, and apply opaque coats from a distance of approximately 20–30 cm onto a clean, dry and degreased surface.
The aerosols are pressurized and can be extremely flammable. Use the product outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, and wear suitable gloves, protective clothing and eye or face protection. Keep the can away from heat, sparks and open flames. Do not puncture or burn, even after use, and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 °C. Transport classification for relevant variants: UN 1950, class 2.1.
