This marine battery isolator switch is a manual main power switch for the safe disconnection of the battery connection in electrical installations on boats and recreational vessels. It is rated for 100 A continuous current and can handle a short-term load of up to 1,000 A for 5 seconds.
The switch must be installed in the positive battery cable and is designed for flange mounting. The flange has a diameter of 60 mm, while the electrical connection studs have a diameter of 10 mm. The removable key makes it possible to disconnect the installation and limit unintentional operation.
The housing is made of black polycarbonate. The switch features a waterproof protective cap, a splash-proof key, and a robust nickel-plated brass key pin. The design is thus adapted to the demanding conditions of maritime installations.
The product is CE type-tested as an ignition and spark-protected component according to EN ISO 8846:2017. The certification covers installation in engine and fuel tank compartments on recreational vessels and is issued by RINA Services S.p.A. under certificate DIP008320Y2/002 in accordance with EU Directive 2013/53/EU.
