Marsupio navigation and safety kit for 6 people centrally gathers safety, signaling, and anchoring equipment for recreational boats when navigating within 3 nautical miles of the coast. The equipment is supplied in a storage bag that can also be used as a soft cushion on board.
The kit contains six VIP Challenger MK4 life jackets for adults over 40 kg. The life jackets have a buoyancy of 100 N and comply with EN ISO 12402-4. They are made with soft foam and feature a quick-release buckle, whistle, and reflective strips. Automatic life jacket lights are not included.
The anchoring equipment consists of a 30 m long polyester anchor line with a diameter of 8 mm, as well as a 4 kg folding umbrella anchor made of hot-dip galvanized cast steel. The anchor measures 470 × 380 × 110 mm and features a counterweight bar on the shank that contributes to the anchor's balance. The kit also includes an inflatable black anchor ball with a diameter of 400 mm.
The firefighting equipment consists of a 1 kg MED-approved powder extinguisher with fire rating 5A 34B C. The extinguisher has a corrosion-resistant aluminum container, is supplied with a bracket, and has no pressure gauge. The emergency signal kit for the area within 3 nautical miles contains two handheld flares and one smoke signal, but no parachute rockets. The signals are covered by the MED Directive 2014/90/EU.
The remaining equipment includes an Italian ensign flag measuring 20 × 30 cm, a lifebuoy line, a boat hook/mooring hook, and a 29.6 cm long plastic fog horn. Separate buoy equipment and a Colreg visual signals table are not included. An empty spare bag for the kit is available under item no. 22.409.35.
The equipment composition is based on Italian safety regulations and does not automatically document compliance with Danish or other national requirements. For non-CE approved vessels, the described Italian usage additionally requires a bailer or bilge pump, which is not included. Always check the applicable safety requirements for the vessel and sailing area.
