This Marsupio navigation kit without pyrotechnic emergency signals is designed for six people and sailing up to 6 nautical miles. The equipment is supplied assembled in a bag that can also be used as a soft cushion, allowing the set to be stored conveniently on board.
The kit contains six orange VIP Challenger MK4 life jackets for adults over 40 kg. The vests have a buoyancy class of 100 N, soft foam, quick-release buckles, reflective strips and a whistle, and meet EN ISO 12402-4. Also included is a MED-type approved 1 kg powder fire extinguisher with fire rating 5A 34B C, corrosion-resistant aluminium container, and mounting bracket.
The anchor equipment consists of a 4 kg folding anchor made of hot-dip galvanised cast steel, as well as a 30 m long polyester anchor rope with a diameter of 8 mm. The anchor has a counterweight bar on the shank for improved balance and measures 470 × 380 × 110 mm. The set also includes a 30 m long orange floating line for a lifebuoy. The line has a diameter of 8 mm, a breaking strength of 400 kg, and is supplied without a carabiner.
The remaining safety equipment includes an Italian flag in polyester measuring 20 × 30 cm, a boat hook, a 29.6 cm long plastic signal horn, and an inflatable black anchor ball with a diameter of 400 mm. The anchor ball is used as a day signal when anchored and can be stored compactly when deflated.
The set includes a lifebuoy light referred to as item no. 30.583.00 and/or 30.584.00. The exact version supplied is not specified in detail. The referenced versions have automatic ignition upon inversion and use 2 AA batteries or 4 LR20/D batteries respectively. The inclusion of batteries is not documented.
Pyrotechnic emergency signals, automatic light for life jackets, and Colreg table of visual signals are not included. The composition of the set is linked to Italian DM no. 133 of 21 September 2024 and does not in itself document compliance with all Danish safety or regulatory requirements. Therefore, always check the applicable requirements for the vessel, waters, and sailing area.
