This Marsupio navigation safety kit is assembled for 4 people and for sailing up to 3 nautical miles from the coast. It combines personal safety equipment, emergency signals, fire extinguishing, anchoring equipment, and signaling equipment into one portable solution for the recreational boat.
The equipment is delivered assembled in a Marsupio bag, which keeps the items organized on board. The bag can also be used as a soft cushion when the equipment is packed away.
Documented contents
The kit contains 4 CE life jackets, item no. 22.60.02, as well as a 1 kg powder extinguisher, item no. 31.450.00. The powder extinguisher has a 5A 34B C classification, MED approval, a corrosion-resistant aluminum container, and is supplied with a bracket. An Italian merchant flag in lightweight polyester measuring 20 × 30 cm, item no. 35.459.01, is also included.
The anchoring equipment consists of a 30 m long, braided polyester anchor line with a diameter of 8 mm, item no. 01.106.00, and a collapsible folding anchor in hot-dip galvanized steel, item no. 01.139.25. The anchor weighs 2.5 kg, measures 360 × 315 × 85 mm, and features a counterweight on the shank for improved balance.
The emergency signal kit, item no. 30.230.01, is intended for sailing up to 3 nautical miles and contains 2 hand flares as well as 1 buoyant smoke signal. No parachute rockets are included. The signal kit complies with Directive 2014/90/EU on marine equipment and MED.
The remaining equipment includes a 30 m orange, floating lifebuoy line with an 8 mm diameter and 400 kg breaking load, a boat hook/mooring hook, a plastic foghorn, and a black, inflatable anchor ball with a diameter of 400 mm. An automatic life jacket light and a visual Colreg signal table are not included.
The kit's configuration is tied to Italian safety equipment requirements. For a non-CE-approved boat, this configuration also requires a bailer or bilge pump; this equipment is not included. Always check the applicable safety and equipment requirements for the vessel and the sailing area.
The empty Marsupio 4 replacement bag with item no. 22.409.33 is documented for this variant.
