This MARSUPIO safety equipment kit without pyrotechnic distress signals is assembled for 6 people for navigation within 3 nautical miles of the coast. The equipment is supplied in a bag that can also be used as a soft cushion when the kit is packed away.
The kit contains six VIP Challenger MK4 CE adult-sized life jackets for people over 40 kg. The life jackets have a buoyancy class of 100 N and comply with EN ISO 12402-4. They are made with soft foam and feature a quick-release buckle, whistle, and reflective strips.
The firefighting equipment consists of a MED-type approved powder extinguisher with 1 kg of powder and fire rating 5A 34B C. The extinguisher has a corrosion-resistant aluminium cylinder and is supplied with a mounting bracket, but without a pressure gauge.
The anchoring equipment includes a 30 m long 8 mm polyester anchor line and a 4 kg foldable grapnel anchor made of hot-galvanized cast steel. The anchor's component dimensions are 470 × 380 × 110 mm. Also included is a 30 m orange floating line with a diameter of 8 mm and a breaking strength of 400 kg for a lifebuoy; this line is supplied without a snap hook.
The other signal and deck equipment includes a hand-operated plastic signal horn, a polypropylene boat hook/mooring hook for a 30 mm shaft, an Italian maritime flag measuring 20 × 30 cm, and an inflatable black anchor ball with a diameter of 400 mm. The anchor ball can be deflated for compact storage.
This variant does not include pyrotechnic distress signals, a lifebuoy light, an automatic light signal, or a Colreg table with visual signals. The composition is linked to the Italian regulatory context according to Ministerial Decree no. 133 of 21 September 2024; therefore, always check national and local safety equipment requirements for the specific vessel and sailing area. For vessels without CE certification, a scoop or a bilge/draining pump may also be required, which is not included.
