This MASE VS.3 variable speed marine diesel generator in model VS 6.5 is a soundproof, single-phase generator for installation on board pleasure and leisure craft. The generator provides 6 kW of continuous power at 230–240 V and has a rated current of 26.08 A.
The engine control automatically regulates the engine speed between 2100 and 3150 rpm according to the current power demand. At lower loads, the engine speed is reduced, which decreases fuel consumption and emissions. The permanent magnet alternator has a power factor of cos φ 1, insulation class H, and voltage and frequency stability of ±1%.
The intercooler W/A cooling system combines a closed coolant circuit for the engine with a seawater/coolant heat exchanger. The alternator's internal air is cooled separately through a seawater/air heat exchanger. The design stabilizes the operating temperature of the engine and alternator, even when the temperature in the installation compartment varies.
The generator is powered by a 2-cylinder Kubota Z482 diesel engine. Service points for the fuel and lubrication system, seawater pump, and air filter are positioned for easy access. Oil and fuel filters can be replaced without extensive disassembly, and an integrated oil drain pump facilitates oil service. The safety system stops the generator in the event of low oil pressure as well as high engine or exhaust gas temperatures.
The soundproof enclosure is made of painted marine-grade aluminum panels and provides access to internal components, even when installed in confined spaces. The generator measures 650 × 469 × 555 mm, weighs 161 kg, and has a noise level of 54 dB measured at a distance of 7 meters.
The InteliNanoNT MRS 3 control unit measures 118 × 118 mm and has an IP65 protection rating. For this variant, cooling circuit kit 50.244.90 can be used with Ø16 mm hose. Exhaust circuit kit 50.244.92 uses Ø40 mm hose and includes a silencer, exhaust component, and clamps.
