This 2-pole panel-mounted socket is a MENNEKES model 1602 for panel and flange mounting in low-voltage installations. It is designed as a female connector with screw terminals, standard contacts, and a hinged protective cover.
The product is specified for 12/24 V and 16 A. The model-specific rated voltage is 20–25 V at 50–60 Hz, and the plug system features violet coding with a clock position of 0 h. Please check the installation voltage and the mechanical and electrical coding of the plug system before mounting, especially when using it in a 12 V installation.
The square flange measures 75 × 75 mm and has four fixing points with a horizontal and vertical hole spacing of 60 × 60 mm. The socket projects 44 mm in front of the mounting flange and requires an installation depth of 22 mm behind the flange. It can be mounted in panels as well as in suitable cable ducts and mounting boxes.
The housing is made of plastic, while the contacts are made of a copper-tin alloy with an untreated contact surface. The IP44 protection class provides protection against solid foreign objects larger than 1 mm and water splashes. The design also includes cable protection against crushing.
The socket complies with DIN VDE 0623 and EN 60309-2 and has EAC marking as well as RoHS and REACH compliance. A matching 2-pole low-voltage male plug is MENNEKES 629A, item no. 14.337.01.
