This CEE shore power connector, female from MENNEKES is a mobile, cable-mounted AM-TOP 552 connector for connecting a shore power cable at a quay or pier. The connector is 3-pole and rated for 32 A, 230 V AC and 50–60 Hz with the earthing contact in the 6 h position.
The connector has an IP67 protection rating and a hinged protective lid. The design is watertight when submerged down to 1 m and features a UV-stabilized housing, providing protection against water and outdoor elements. The blue housing and the hinged lid are made of PA6.
Connection is carried out using screw terminals with PZ2/slotted drive for 2.5–6 mm² conductors. Cable gland, seal, cable bend protection, and strain relief are integrated into the housing. The cable entry is Ø22 mm, and the construction is designed as a one-piece housing.
During installation, the cable sheath is stripped by 50 mm, while the phase, neutral, and protective earth conductors are stripped by 12–17 mm. The tightening torque is 0.8 Nm for a conductor cross-section of 2.5–4 mm² and 1.2 Nm for 6 mm². Square-crimped, gas-tight wire end ferrules are recommended.
The product measures 212 × 96 × 98 mm and has a net weight of 357 g. It is intended for connection with a compatible 32 A, 230 V, 3-pole IEC 60309/CEE male connector with 6 h coding. The documented corresponding male variant has item no. 14.335.12 and corresponds to the MENNEKES AM-TOP 290; it is not included.
The connector is manufactured according to DIN EN IEC 60309-2 and holds CE conformity as well as VDE, EAC, and CQC approvals. It also complies with RoHS 2011/65/EU including 2015/863/EU and the EU POP Regulation 2019/1021. The permissible permanent temperature range is −25 °C to +40 °C.
