Checking the battery charge level
The “Idle Charge” system for monitoring the battery charge level prevents the batteries from completely discharging while running multiple electronic devices. When the battery voltage is low, the engine automatically increases idle speed to boost the generator’s performance and recharge the batteries to the proper level.

Easy and effective!
Gram by gram, Mercury engineers have reduced the weight of the new Mercury 4-stroke outboard, resulting in the lightest engines in their class. Less weight improves performance in every way. The V-6 engine block configuration has been optimized to minimize size, and the single-lock hood is designed to store the engine block. V-6 4-stroke outboards can be mounted close together to fit even more transom types—perfect for easy, flexible installation.

Design your very own engine
The new 200 hp 4-stroke outboards are available in Mercury's Cold Fusion White and the traditional Phantom Black.
To make the engine completely your own, it is available ex-factory with colored panels as a set of 4 colors. The panels are made of thin, durable polycarbonate with good adhesion. This creates the optimal color harmony.
As of March 2020, this engine ships from the factory with VesselView Mobile.
This means you always know the status of your engine, whether you're sitting at home on the couch or on the water with friends and family. You also get a full overview of fuel economy, performance and can of course choose to share your data directly on social media.
