Mercury's 60 hp Command Thrust model features a more powerful gearbox, oversized propeller and lower gearing. It gives you more power and control than any other outboard with the same horsepower. The extra power is provided by a 2.33:1 gearbox with 44% larger gear wheels.

Interest in the additional installation of a large steering handle on open inflatable boats, RIBs and fiberglass boats has increased, where the extra-long steering handle with a conveniently mounted power trim button offers easy and safe operation right at your fingertips.
