Meet the new market leader in the 150 hp high-performance class. The new Mercury 150 Pro XS is tuned to give mid-size boats virtually no limitations. A 3.0-liter engine block provides the most volume possible—even though it’s the lightest in the 150 hp class—plus acceleration-boosting Transient Spark for increased performance. Underneath sits a durable and proven 4.8-inch transmission with 4 water inlets at the front of the torpedo. This gives you more flexibility to mount the engine higher, install a lift plate, or trim even more aggressively to maximize top speed.

PRO XS gives you a speed that is about 400 rpm above the standard model, which in turn means that the engine performs even more on boats that allow it to reach its maximum speed. With the extra sporty trim, there is no doubt that the 150 PRO XS is popular in the sports series. The engine is available in L and XL leg lengths at the same price.

Best-in-class acceleration
Optimized ignition timing increases torque during acceleration, which provides better torque at the propeller shaft. The lowest weight and largest cylinder capacity in its class make it unrivaled overall on a wide range of boats.

Calibrated for great performance
More RPM at full throttle allows you to choose from a greater number of propeller contacts, allowing you to work under high pressure or at top speed.

Smart charging
The high-amp generator keeps up with the electronic instruments, lights, fan pumps and radio systems. The new “Idle Charge” battery control automatically ensures higher idle speed and generator performance to recharge the boat’s batteries to the correct level.

This means you always know the status of your engine, whether you're sitting at home on the couch or on the water with friends and family. You also get a full overview of fuel economy, performance and can of course choose to share your data directly on social media.
