This MOB rescue bag with floating line and buoyancy aid is a compact, throwable rescue system for man-overboard situations. The system is stored inside the bag and mounts to the boat's pulpit or railing, making it easily accessible in an emergency.
When used, the buoyancy aid is thrown to the person in the water. The buoyancy aid is designed as a floating foam harness or collar that is placed under the arms, while the included floating line allows the person to be pulled back to the boat. The system is smaller and more compact than a horseshoe-shaped lifebuoy.
The bag is made of UV-treated PVC and measures 460 × 400 × 110 mm in total. The dimensions are provided as overall product dimensions without a detailed definition of the individual axes. The bag is not waterproof and should therefore be placed and maintained with this in mind.
The included orange Levilene line has item no. 22.408.06. The line is 30 m long, has a diameter of 8 mm, and a documented breaking strength of 400 kg. The line is floating and type-approved, but this approval does not automatically apply to the complete MOB system. A carabiner is not included with the line.
The overall solution combines storage, buoyancy aid, and recovery line in one unit. Mounting on the pulpit or railing keeps the rescue equipment together and ready for use without taking up the same space as traditional horseshoe-shaped lifebuoys.
