This motor flusher is a custom-fitted flushing muff for freshwater flushing of compatible Volvo Penta drives. It is mounted over the drive's cooling water intake so that fresh water can be fed into the cooling system.
Flushing is used during ongoing engine and drive maintenance, as well as in connection with preservation and preparation for winter storage. The supply of fresh water helps to flush salt and other impurities out of the cooling system after use.
The flushing muff is secured with an elastic fastening strap. The strap holds the muff in place over the cooling water intake during flushing.
The product is designed for Volvo Penta drives, but does not fit Volvo Penta DP drives. Please check the drive type and the design of the cooling water intake before purchasing.
Remove the propeller before use, monitor the engine for signs of overheating during flushing, and always follow the engine manufacturer's instructions for flushing and preservation.
