Round opening nylon porthole from MTM is a black, round model with an outside diameter of 220 mm. It is intended for mounting in the boat's bulkhead, cabin side, or a similar marine installation where light intake and an openable aperture are desired.
The porthole has a nylon frame and a pane made of acrylic glass, also known as plexiglass. The openable construction is closed with wing nuts, which hold the pane in the closed position. The clear light aperture is Ø 135 mm.
The outside dimension is Ø 220 mm, and the mounting cutout is specified as Ø 165 mm. Manufacturer number 1614116 is also associated with a cutout dimension of Ø 160 mm. Therefore, always check the supplied porthole or a current mounting template before cutting into the bulkhead or cabin side. The useful depth is specified as 6/35 mm, while the neck/spigot is 30 mm.
The porthole is supplied with a counter/cover frame. Mounting screws are not included and must be selected according to the material and construction of the installation site. A gasket set with manufacturer number 3835201 is documented for the MTM porthole family.
The series is CE-certified according to EN ISO 12216. This Ø 220 mm variant is classified for design category C–D.
