Description
It doesn't take much to ignite the gas. A small spark can be created by turning on a lamp or just starting the engine, and that can be enough to trigger an explosion. Another serious problem can occur when you sleep and inhale the gas, which can be fatal. The NASA gas detector is a simple instrument, consisting of a sensor unit placed low in the boat, and an alarm and control unit placed centrally. The sensor detects when the mixture of oxygen and gas approaches the lowest explosion point and sends a signal to the alarm unit, which sounds the alarm.
