This NMEA 2000 connection node is a passive network component with three connections distributed across two female connectors and one male connector. It is used to connect components in an NMEA 2000 network.
The connection node allows network connections to be joined so that compatible marine electronics can exchange data via the common NMEA 2000 channel. This may include, for example, GPS, wind, depth, and AIS equipment, provided the devices have the appropriate NMEA 2000 connectivity.
The connectors are made of metal, and the component is blue. It has an IP68 protection rating, which makes the connection node suitable for installations in maritime environments when mounted with compatible connections.
The connections are of the Micro type with the designation 22 AWG/24 AWG. This designation describes the connector type and does not mean that the connection node is supplied with a cable.
Related system components include male/female cables with item nos. 29.361.01, 29.361.03, 29.361.05, and 29.361.12, as well as the 120 Ω terminators 29.364.01 and 29.364.02. The connection node does not have a built-in terminator resistor.
