Recessed box for VHF/radio/CD from Nuova Rade is a white marine storage box with an integrated container and front hatch. This standard version is designed without a key lock and is intended for the protected mounting of a VHF radio or radio/CD unit on a boat.
The box is made of UV-resistant ASA plastic and has a non-slip surface. The front hatch is equipped with a durable rotating handle and can open 150°, providing easy access to the mounted equipment. An EPDM rubber gasket contributes to water resistance, but the product has no documented IP rating.
The external front dimensions are 285 × 180 mm, and the nominal depth is 260 mm. The documented cutout dimension is 250 × 115 mm, while the clear opening is 226 × 108 mm. Always check the device's dimensions and the available installation depth before cutting and mounting.
The recessed box can be mounted horizontally or vertically and is fastened with concealed screws so that the mounting screws are not visible after installation. For sealing, use neutral silicone without benzene, acetone, or similar substances. The maximum tightening torque is 6 Nm.
The frame, hatch, and container are developed for external marine use and designed and produced in Italy. Clean the surface with warm soapy water and avoid acetone, toluene, concentrated acids, and solvent-based cleaning agents.
