Oceanlife life raft in hard container is an inflatable life raft with a capacity for 10 people. It is intended as maritime safety equipment for sailing more than 12 nautical miles from the coast.
The life raft is supplied packed in a hard container. The packed raft and container measure 85 × 60 × 32 cm, indicated as length × height × depth, and weigh 84 kg. The dimensions refer to the packed unit and not the deployed life raft.
The life raft is manufactured in accordance with ISO 9650. It also complies with the Italian D.M. 12/8/2002 and is approved by D.M. 832/2004 of 10 March 2003. The basis for approval is Italian, and applicable requirements for the vessel's flag state should therefore always be checked.
The service and inspection interval is every two years. Regular inspection is necessary to maintain the life raft's readiness and ensure that it is checked at the established interval.
For mounting life rafts in a hard container, a mounting kit is available with item no. 22.711.02 for deck or bulkhead. The kit includes brackets, heavy-duty polyester straps, as well as stainless steel hooks and buckles for quick release.
