This OCEANLIFE life raft with separate grab bag is a self-inflating life raft for 8 people. It is intended for sailing more than 12 nautical miles from the coast with no maximum distance restriction.
The life raft is stored in a soft textile bag, while the associated safety equipment is located in a separate grab bag. This division reduces the weight and dimensions of the main unit, making the two parts easier to handle and store separately.
The soft main bag has indicative dimensions of 65 × 32 × 39 cm and weighs 40 kg. The separate grab bag measures 50 × 32 cm and weighs 16 kg. The total component weight is 56 kg.
The life raft is certified according to ISO 9650-1 and approved according to the Italian D.M. 219/02. The variant-specific approval has the references DN-261 and MIT 501-2020.
Service and revision inspections must be carried out every two years. Regular inspection is an important part of maintaining the life raft's readiness.
