This Oceansouth aft shade with telescopic poles for hardtop and flybridge is a removable shade extension in white that covers the area from the boat's fixed superstructure towards the stern. The trapezoidal shade fabric measures 260 cm in length, 200 cm in width at the rear, and 170 cm in width at the front.
The shade is supported by two telescopic stainless steel poles. The poles have a diameter of 32 mm, can be adjusted from 1.3 to 2.0 m, and are mounted in the boat's existing aft-facing fishing rod holders. The adjustable height allows the tension to be adapted to the position and angle of the rod holders.
The shade fabric is made of 310 g/m² ATLAS Marine Grade Fabric in 100% polyester with PU coating. The fabric is waterproof, breathable, and UV-resistant with UPF 50+ and a water column of at least 1,500 mm. The material is also resistant to mold, mildew, tearing, and abrasion.
The front straps are attached to suitable points on the hardtop, T-top, or flybridge superstructure, while the rear straps are routed to stern cleats or railings. The straps are tightened until the shade fabric is correctly positioned and taut. Standard mounting in existing fittings requires neither drilling nor tools.
The product is suitable for boats with a fixed hardtop, T-top, or flybridge roof, two suitable fishing rod holders, and appropriate attachment points. The positioning should be assessed with the telescopic poles at the actual angle of the rod holders. The shade can be used deployed at speeds up to 20 knots and folded compactly when not in use.
The delivery scope includes the shade fabric, two stainless steel telescopic poles, polyester straps, and buckles for tensioning.
