This Oceansouth custom-fit outboard motor cowl cover for Yamaha is a model-specific storage cover for the engine cowling. It fits Yamaha V6 4.3 L F225, F250, and F300 from 2021 as well as F350 from 2024.
The cover is intended for protecting the motor cowl during outdoor or open storage. It protects against rain, moisture, UV exposure, dust, and general outdoor dirt. This version is non-ventilated and must therefore only be used when the engine is turned off.
The cover is made of grey ATLAS marine-grade fabric with a fabric weight of 340 g/m². The material consists of 100% polyester with a PU coating and is waterproof, breathable, and UV-resistant. The breathability helps limit moisture buildup under the cover, while the UV protection reduces the sun's impact on the motor cowl.
The ATLAS fabric has a water column of at least 150 mbar, equivalent to 1,500 mm, as well as a UV protection factor of UPF 50+. The material's light and weather fastness is grade 6–7, and the tensile strength is approximately 2,200 N and 1,400 N in the two weave directions.
The custom-fit construction follows the shape of the motor cowl. An elastic hem combined with a drawstring and cleat fastening keeps the cover tight around the underside of the cowl. The related ventilated version with item no. 46.541.52 is intended for use during engine operation.
