Oceansouth grey hatch cover for Lewmar Flush deck hatch is a custom-fit protective cover for a rectangular Lewmar Flush deck hatch in size 20. The cover measures 417 × 272 mm and protects the hatch against sun, UV radiation, and marine weather conditions.
The cover is made of grey ATLAS marine canvas in dope-dyed polyester with a fabric weight of 310 g/m². The material is breathable, UV-resistant, and provides water protection. The breathable construction reduces the build-up of condensation, thereby counteracting conditions that can promote mold and mildew.
An elastic hem is stretched around the hatch frame, while a drawstring with a cord lock secures the cover. Double-lapped seams strengthen the construction and contribute to durability when used in a maritime environment. The cover can remain in place while the hatch is both open and closed.
The model is adapted for Lewmar Flush hatches in size 20 and can be used on versions both with and without an air vent. It is specifically custom-fitted for Lewmar hatches and is not intended as a universal cover for other brands or hatches with externally mounted hinges.
When installing, the cover is first placed around the back of the hatch with the logo facing the hatch opening. It is then stretched forward over the hatch, after which the elastic hem is tucked under the frame. The drawstring remains secured in the cord lock and is used for the final tightening. The cover is also easy to clean and maintain.
