Grey hatch cover for Lewmar Low Profile hatch from Oceansouth is a custom-fitted, external protective cover for a square deck hatch in size 44. The cover has nominal fit dimensions of 512 × 512 mm and is specifically developed for Lewmar Low Profile hatches.
The cover protects the hatch lens and frame against direct sunlight, UV exposure, salt, dust, and other elements of the marine environment. The external shading also helps to limit solar gain and heat load below deck.
It is manufactured from grey ATLAS marine-grade polyester canvas with a fabric weight of 310 g/m². The fabric is waterproof, breathable, and UV-resistant. The breathability reduces the accumulation of condensation under the cover, while the material is also resistant to mold and mildew. Double-overlapped seams contribute to a robust construction.
Installation requires neither screws nor drilling. The cover is pulled around the rear edge of the hatch and stretched forward over the hatch, after which the elastic edge is secured under the frame. A drawstring with a locking clip ensures the fit. The design allows the cover to remain in place whether the hatch is open or closed.
The cover is custom-fitted for Lewmar Low Profile size 44 and is not a universal cover for other hatch brands or profiles. The compatible Lewmar hatch has nominal external dimensions of 512 × 512 mm and is available as item no. 19.410.44.
