This Oceansouth custom-fit, full-coverage cover for Suzuki outboard motors protects the entire engine during outdoor storage, winter storage, and trailering. The cover is available in variants for a wide range of Suzuki engines, including the DF2.5, DF4A–DF6A, DF8A–DF9.9A, DF15A–DF30A, DF40A–DF60A, DF70A–DF90A, DF100A–DF140A, DF150AP–DF200AP, and DF200–DF350. Always check the engine model, model year, and shaft length when selecting a variant.
The model-specific fit follows the contours of the engine, reducing excess fabric, wind flapping, and the risk of the cover loosening during transport. The full-coverage design protects the engine cover, midsection, and lower unit from dust, dirt, rain, salt spray, UV rays, scratches, and road debris.
The cover is made of 100% polyester ATLAS Marine Grade fabric with a PU coating and a material weight of 340 g/m². The fabric is breathable, water-resistant, UV-resistant, and tear-resistant, with a proven water column of at least 1,500 mm. The UV protection is rated at UPF 50+ and has been measured at over UPF 80 in several variants. Depending on the variant, the material is also documented with a light and weather fastness of 6–7, water repellency of 100, oil repellency of 4, and chlorine resistance of 4–5.
Most variants feature a soft inner felt lining, an elastic hem around the engine bracket, and a heavy-duty #10 marine-grade zipper around the bottom and skeg. Double-stitched and reinforced seams increase durability, while the slip-on design makes the cover easy to fit and remove. Select variants include a dual rope cleat for tightening.
This is a storage and transport cover and not a ventilated running cover. It must therefore not be used while the engine is running or during navigation. Clean with a soft brush, lukewarm water, and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh detergents and chemical cleaning agents, allow the cover to air dry, and ensure it is clean and completely dry before long-term storage.
