Oceansouth full-length storage cover for Honda outboard motor is a form-fitting cover for the complete engine, including the cowl, midsection, leg, gear housing, and skeg. The series is available in model-specific variants for a wide range of Honda BF and BFP engines from BF2.3 to BF250, as well as various model years, displacements, and shaft lengths. Always choose the variant based on engine model, model year, engine generation, displacement, and shaft length.
The cover is intended for outdoor storage, winter storage, and trailer transport. It protects against UV radiation, rain, moisture, dust, dirt, salt spray, scratches, and road debris. The model-specific fit limits wind flapping during transport, while the slip-on design makes installation simple. The cover can be fitted over a compatible cowling or vented cover.
The ATLAS Marine Grade fabric consists of 100% polyester with a PU coating and has a material weight of 340 g/m². The material is water-resistant, breathable, UV-resistant, and tear-resistant with a water column of at least 1,500 mm and UV protection of UPF 50+; the measured value is over UPF 80. Depending on the fabric variant, specifications include light and weather fastness of grade 6-7, chlorine resistance of 4-5, water repellency of grade 100, oil repellency of grade 4, as well as a tensile strength of approximately 2,200/1,400 N.
The soft felt lining reduces the risk of scratches on the engine's surfaces. An elastic hem, cord tightener or Twin Rope Cleat closure, heavy-duty size #10 marine zipper, as well as double-stitched and reinforced seams ensure a stable and durable fit.
This is a storage and transport cover and must not be used while the engine is running or during navigation. Clean with a soft brush, lukewarm water, and possibly mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents and chemicals, and allow the cover to air dry completely before packing.
